Heather Rozzi is a core faculty member in the New York Hospital Emergency Medicine Residency.
Since 2004, she has served as the Medical Director for the York Hospital Forensic Examiner Team. The Team cares for approximately 400 adult and pediatric victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, human trafficking, elder mistreatment, and child abuse per year. She has written and lectured extensively on forensic topics including domestic violence, child and elder maltreatment, ballistics, sexual assault, human trafficking, and the link between family violence and animal cruelty. Heather currently serves as Chair for the Forensic Medicine Section of ACEP. She is co-editor of the revised ACEP handbook, Evaluation and Management of the Sexually Assaulted or Sexually Abused Patient, and is co-developer of a web-based curriculum on clinical forensic medicine.
